McLaren picks London to release report of Russian doping

LONDON (AP) " World Anti-Doping Agency investigator Richard McLaren will come to London on Dec. 9 to deliver his final report into Russian state-backed cheating.

McLaren's office says he will hold a news conference from 1115 GMT at a central London hotel.

The Canadian law professor is expected to detail a Russian doping program at the 2014 Sochi Olympics and cheating across winter sports.

The first part of McLaren's report released in July led WADA to call for a ban on Russian teams competing at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics. The IOC resisted a blanket ban and let individual sports federations decide which athletes could compete.

WADA appointed McLaren in May to investigate allegations by Grigory Rodchenkov, the former director of WADA-accredited laboratories in Moscow and Sochi, of systematic cheating.
