There's been a number of high quality customised cleats making an appearance in the 2016 NFL season.
But Minnesota Vikings running back Jerick McKinnon may have just taken the cake.
He wore Harambe-style boots for the warmup before Minnesota's clash with the Philadelphia Eagles yesterday.
The Vikings seem to be fond of the late gorilla, who became famous for being shot and killed after a three-year-old baby fell into a zoo inclosure in Cincinnati. They even gave him a shout out in one of their pre-game huddles.
Unfortunately for McKinnon however, the NFL doesn't let players wear customised cleats during the game.
But he and his fellow cleat creators have been granted a one-off release. For one week only, the league will allow players to wear alternative cleats during week 13.
Over 400 players have signed up.
