Even Hollywood superstars can't resist the appeal of a good ol' Kiwi rugby game.

Jason Statham, well-known for a string of hit action flicks including The Transporter, Fast 8, Furious 7 and Snatch, was spotted by fan Helen Robinson at the record-breaking Eden Park match tonight.

Dressed in black we can only assume he was there to support the mighty All Blacks who smashed the Wallabies in a 37 - 10 win. The triumph broke the record for most consecutive tests won, which is now set at 18.

Olympic cyclist Eddie Dawkins also snapped a pic with the star.

Statham is starring in Meg, a sci-fi film based on Steve Alten's 1997 novel Meg: A Novel of Deep Terror that is underway in Auckland.

The film is about a giant prehistoric shark that attacks an international underwater observation program.

The 49-year-old is living it up in a $20million Westmere mansion during his stay. He has been spotted dropping into neighbourhood cafes for takeaway coffees.
