Younis recovers from illness, returns for 2nd test

ISLAMABAD (AP) " Younis Khan has recovered from illness and has been added to Pakistan's squad for the second test against the West Indies in the United Arab Emirates.

The 38-year-old Younis missed the first day-night test in Dubai after doctors advised extended rest to fully recover from dengue. He was admitted to a hospital in Karachi last month with a high fever, which was later diagnosed as dengue.

Younis has been Pakistan's leading scorer in test matches. He has 9,456 runs in 108 matches, an average of 53.72.

The second test will be played in Abu Dhabi starting Friday, followed by the third and final test in Sharjah from Oct. 30-Nov. 3.
