Kanye West didn't need to say a word to get Mike Tyson's respect

UFC 202 brought out all types of celebrities - from NBA All-Star centre Dwight Howard to internationally renowned chef Gordon Ramsey - to watch the rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz in Las Vegas.

The biggest of them all, however, was rapper/producer/songwriter/fashion designer Kanye West, who arrived a bit late, only to find former boxing champion Mike Tyson sitting in his seats.

FOX Sports TV personality Skip Bayless, who says he was sitting one row directly behind the seats, says that he assumed Kanye wasn't going to show up, but when he did, all he had to do was "be Kanye" to get his seat from Tyson.

"Mike could have made it awkward but he didn't - because they were Kanye's seats, they had his names on them," Bayless said. "But I think security didn't think Kanye was going to make it, maybe? Because it was getting pretty deep into the card.

"My wife and I are sitting there thinking, 'Wow, we're sitting right behind Kanye,' and she wanted to talk to Kanye but I said, 'I don't think he's going to make it.' Then Tyson took the seats and I thought, 'Well, that's it for the night,' but then, he walked in.

"And Kanye didn't have to say a word except just stand there and be Kanye. And Mike said, 'Hey, I'm out!'

"Mike took (Kanye approaching him) happily, but you realise once upon a time, it would have been the other way around.

"So I was amused this Mike Tyson, at this stage of his life, would say, 'Kanye, I'm good.' And they tried to find another seat for Mike Tyson."

Bayless would go on explain his wife got that much desired small talk with Kanye and according to the FOX Sports television personality, he "loves" the UFC and thinks it's better than boxing.

"He turned to me mid-fight ... and he said, 'Hey, aren't you convinced this is better than boxing?' And I said, 'No, but this is really good.' Because it was about as good a UFC fight (as you can get) - I'm not the biggest UFC guy, but now I am all-in on UFC. I think it's the new frontier."
