BERLIN (AP) " Wolfsburg says Brazilian defender Dante is leaving to join French side Nice.

Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs says "we would have liked to have seen Dante remain as part of our squad, but we granted his wish to gain some further experience."

The Bundesliga club didn't give details of the transfer fee.

The 32-year-old Dante, who joined Wolfsburg from Bayern Munich last season, will be reunited with former Borussia Moenchengladbach coach Lucien Favre in Nice.
