Eliza McCartney has paid an emotional tribute to her support team and fans after winning bronze at the Rio Olympics.

The 19-year-old shocked the athletics world with an incredible effort in yesterday's pole vault final, capping a remarkable rise by earning a place on the podium.

And McCartney today took to Facebook to thank her well-wishers, family and coach Jeremy McColl.
