LONDON (AP) " Britain's prime minister says there will be celebrations in London and in Manchester to mark the accomplishments of athletes taking part in the Olympics and the Paralympics.
Theresa May's decision comes after cities outside the capital complained loudly that the capital was having all the fun despite the fact that competitors come from all over the country.
Manchester will host a parade, while London will host an as yet unspecified event in the capital in October after the Paralympians returned from Rio.
Mays promises a "celebration fit for heroes."
Britain's Olympians and Paralympians have paraded through the streets of London after the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Games.
