Kawasaki beats Kofu 4-0 to extend unbeaten run in J-League

TOKYO (AP) " Kawasaki Frontale beat Ventforet Kofu 4-0 Saturday to remain top of the J-League and extend its unbeaten run to 16 games.

Yoshito Okubo scored in the last minute of the first half before an own goal and strikes from Yu Kobayashi and Elsinho after the break gave Kawasaki a comfortable win.

Kawasaki leads the second-stage standings on goal difference. Urawa Reds are second " also on 19 points " after a 4-1 home win over Shonan Bellmare.

In other matches, Yokohama F Marinos remained third with 15 points after a 2-1 win over Kashiwa Reysol. Defending champions Sanfrecce Hiroshima beat Nagoya Grampus 2-0.

Vegalta Sendai beat first-stage winners Kashima Antlers 1-0; Omiya Ardija edged Avispa Fukuoka 1-0; and Gamba Osaka beat Sagan Tosu 2-1.
