Pakistan wins toss, bowls 1st vs England in 3rd test

BIRMINGHAM, England (AP) " Pakistan won the toss Wednesday and decided to bowl first in the third test against England at a rainy Edgbaston.

The four-test series is tied at 1-1.

Pakistan brought in left-handed opener Sami Aslam to replace Shan Masood, while Sohail Khan came in for paceman Wahab Riaz to add variety to the pace attack.

Steven Finn replaced injured allrounder Ben Stokes to give England a four-man pace attack. England said Stokes, who has a calf strain, would also miss the fourth test but could be fit for the one-day international series.

England won the second test by 330 runs at Old Trafford, after Pakistan's 75-run win in the Lord's opener.
