Kiwi pole vaulter Eliza McCartney is setting her Olympic goals high after a podium finish at the London Diamond League meet at the weekend.

The 19-year-old finished third in London and still hopes to get another couple of meets under her belt before heading to Rio.

McCartney believes she can make the Olympic final.

She says anything can happen in the final you could come any place, or win any medal, it all comes down to performance on the day.

Heading into her first Olympic campaign McCartney says she just wants to enjoy the experience.

McCartney says the whole experience so far has been an amazing learning process, learning how to deal with everything and compete better and hopes it will all come together.
