In the past, it's always been Manchester United.

But the fans have spoken and Chelsea is now the most hated club in the English Premier League.

A survey conducted by the Mirror UK asked fans to rate which clubs they hate the most.

The survey took answers from 10,000 fans of clubs across England with the opinions of each club weighted equally.

Manchester United, who held top spot last year, came in a close second to Chelsea.

2016 Premier League champions Leicester City were second from the bottom showing success alone isn't enough to make rival fans hate you.

Back to the top, and Liverpool sit in third while Manchester City and Arsenal sit in fourth and fifth respectively.

Bournemouth came bottom of the list, making them the league's least hated club.

Some other interesting facts to come from the survey were that Chelsea are most hated by Tottenham fans, though Arsenal supporters aren't too far behind.

It seems to be a two-way street with Chelsea fans hating Arsenal the most, closely followed by Tottenham and Manchester United.

Manchester United fans hate Man City the most with Liverpool a close second, while United are the most hated club by Liverpool and City fans.
