The story of world No. 772 Marcus Willis and his rise to tennis stardom just keeps getting better and better.

His battle with world No. 3 Roger Federer on centre court at Wimbledon this morning had the crowd in a roar.

While the full-time tennis coach, part-time tennis hero, wasn't able to conjure up a victory losing in straight sets, something else has caught the eyes of keen observers.

Take a look at the left sleeve of Willis' shirt.

The initials on the side are "RF." More importantly, it's the logo of Roger Federer's signature Nike brand.

So Marcus Willis could have been paying homage to his opponent, trolling him, or this might be the only white tennis shirt Willis owns.

The latter seems the most likely given Willis' astounding backstory.
