Parramatta star Semi Radradra has reconfirmed his commitment to playing out his contract until the end of the 2017 NRL season, says his manager.

There has been fierce speculation that Radradra could walk out on the Eels to take up a lucrative contract with a French rugby union club since he took leave from the club to return to Fiji last week.

However manager George Christodoulou said on Tuesday he had spoken to his client and that was not the case.

"Like other Eels players during the bye round, Semi was granted leave by the club to return home and visit family," Christodoulou said.

"This has led to some unnecessary speculation regarding his future.

"I have spoken to Semi directly and he would like to assure Eels fans and the wider rugby league community that he will be returning as scheduled in time to prepare for the Eels' next NRL game against Cronulla (on Saturday week).

"He remains fully committed to his teammates and will be remaining with the Eels until at least the end of the 2017 season, as per his current contract."

The Eels welcomed the news, after contradictory reports emerged on Tuesday morning that Radradra had committed to a rugby move to Europe.

"The Parramatta Eels and Semi Radradra's management can confirm that Semi will be returning as expected to prepare for the club's next NRL game against Cronulla," read an Eels statement.

"Semi has also assured the club today that he will remain with the Eels as per his contract until at least the end of the 2017 season."

Earlier on Tuesday Radradra's sister, Vaseva Waqavatu, said nothing was yet confirmed in regard to Radradra's future and discussions would be held on their home island of Taveuni.

"He has not made a decision yet," Waqavatu told News Corp Australia.

"He will be on the island later this week and is coming to talk to Dad and the rest of the family about that."

Waqavatu's comments come despite the Fiji Times earlier reporting she had told them the 24-year-old had already signed a nine-month deal with a French club.
