The Tall Ferns are doing their best to ensure fatigue won't be a hindrance in their efforts to qualify for the Rio Games.

Having already played China, the Czech Republic and Montenegro in a tournament, New Zealand now play Latvia in two friendlies, before turning their attention to games against Belarus, Japan, Turkey and Spain - all this before the Olympic qualifying tournament.

Coach Kennedy Kereama says with conditioning and relaxation so important, they do their best to make sure the players have time away from being athletes.

He says the players have time off and breaks, allowing them to experience the countries their in.

Kereama says down time is paramount when away from home.

The Tall Ferns play Latvia tomorrow.
