A decision on whether the New Zealand Olympic Committee sends its full quota of triathletes to the Rio Games will be known today.

The NZOC will confirm how many triathletes join the already-qualified Andrea Hewitt.

The country has qualified three female and two male spots.

Top male Ryan Sissons is expected to be confirmed today after two top eight world series finishes in the selection period, however no other athletes have reached that feat.

Nicky Samuels and Tony Dodds are the next best contenders having secured one top eight finish each, but battled injuries over the past year.
