Kiwi left-hander Tim Wilkinson has continued his strong form with a top 10 finish at the AT & T Byron Nelson tournament in Texas.

He bogeyed the last hole to drop into a tie for 4th behind Sergio Garcia who beat Brooks Koepka in a playoff.

Wilkinson closed with a two under 68 to complete four rounds in the sixties while countryman Danny Lee matched that sub par feat and ended up in a tie for 18th.

Lee began with a sizzling 63 while Wilkinson emulated that with his third round score which threw him into contention.

He made a strong run until he bogeyed the 12th and could not make any headway on the closing holes.

He missed a 12 ' putt on the par three 17th after a superb tee shot and then hooked his drive on the final hole and was forced to pitch out. His recovery iron settled about 25' from the pin and Wilkinson two putted for a bogey.
