Rugby Sevens: NZ's title hopes end with quarterfinal defeat

New Zealand's hopes of winning the World Sevens series are over after losing in the Paris Sevens quarter finals.

The All Blacks Sevens have been beaten 19-17 by Argentina in the quarterfinals with the Pumas scoring two late tries.

New Zealand then lost the plate semi final 29-19 to South Africa with Samoa stunning Fiji 29-26 in the final from 26-7 down.

With one round two go in London next weekend, New Zealand's third in the standings behind South Africa and Fiji.
