All Blacks and Hurricanes great Ma'a Nonu has poked fun at his former teammates who were punished for missing curfew and dropped from facing the Reds this weekend.

France-based Nonu, who plays for Toulon, posted on Twitter inviting Cory Jane, Julian Savea, Ardie Savea, Victor Vito and Chris Eves to make the trip over to the South of France and have a 'BBQ and swim' during their 'weekend off'.

The five players were punished by coach Chris Boyd after missing a team curfew imposed in Durban before last weekend's defeat to the Sharks.

Boyd admitted yesterday it was a "one-out-of-10 offence with a 10-out-of-10 punishment".
