GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) John Guidetti's double gave Celtic a 2-1 victory over St. Mirren in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.
A tangle between Guidetti, St. Mirren goalkeeper Marian Kello and player-coach Jim Goodwin, in trying to deal with Scott Brown's cut-back, ended up with the ball crossing the line. Guidetti was credited with Celtic's opener in the 42nd minute.
Midfielder Kenny McLean equalized four minutes after the break but the champions stormed back and their second goal arrived in the 63rd when Guidetti fired past Kello.
Celtic is fourth in the Premiership, five points behind Dundee United having played one game less. Dundee United beat St. Johnstone 2-0, second-place Hamilton won 4-0 at Motherwell, and Inverness dropped to third after losing 3-2 at Aberdeen.
