Silver Fern and Northern Mystics defender Anna Harrison will miss the rest of the 2014 international season as she is expecting her second child.
The 31-year-old recently returned to New Zealand after competing in the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games and will bow out of the upcoming Constellation Cup series against Australia and the two-match series against England for the Taini Jamison trophy.
Harrison has been a key team member of the Northern Mystics in the ANZ Championship since 2011 and has no plans to retire from netball.
Northern Mystics CEO Julie Paterson says the team are delighted for Anna, Craig and Isaac.
"It's a very exciting time for them all as they prepare to welcome another family member," she said.
"We will miss her contribution on court next year, but we're thrilled that Anna wants to stay involved in whatever capacity she can to support the Northern Mystics team."
Silver Ferns coach Waimarama Taumaunu says Harrison is a valued, experienced team member who will be missed.
"We wish Anna all the best and look forward to her return in 2015," she said.
