2 Samoans suspended for RLWC quarterfinals

Samoa forwards Leeson Ah Mau and Sauaso Sue will miss the Rugby League World Cup quarterfinal against Fiji on Sunday after receiving one-game bans for offences against France playmaker William Barthau.

An international match review panel issued the rulings on Tuesday, a day after Samoa beat France 22-6 in Perpignan.

Ah Mau was found guilty of a shoulder charge on Barthau in the 13th minute, and Sue was found guilty of tripping Barthau in the second half. Sue was also cautioned for a shoulder charge on Barthau in the 14th.
