Canterbury hooker Corey Flynn has been ruled out of the New Zealand Maori tour of North America with a neck injury.

Flynn was not named in Canterbury's line-up to play Wellington in the ITM Cup Premiership final on Saturday night due to the injury.

The Maori play matches against Canada and the USA next month. Hawkes Bay's Ash Dixon has been named instead.
