Tirau greyhound Thrilling Brat lines up in the A$75,000 to-the-winner Hotham Body Repairs Association Cup (R6, 11:15pm NZT) at group one level over 720m at Wentworth Park in Sydney tonight.

Among his opposition is the freakish Perth-trained stayer Miata, who demolished the 720m track record during her emphatic heat win last week.

She jumps from the eight-trap and she will parade to the traps as the $1.04 favourite. Trainer Karen Walsh is confident that Thrilling Brat will strip a much better chaser this week after his somewhat battling effort to run a moderate fourth in his heat.

Thrilling Brat's litter sister and kennelmate Thrilling Quest will contest the opening event (9:28pm).

She has drawn awkwardly in the five-trap; however, Walsh advised that she is expecting a bold effort from her.
