Middle distance legend Sir John Walker will become the first New Zealander to present an Olympic medal on home soil next week.
Walker will present the Beijing Olympic silver medal to Nick Willis at the International Track Meet in Christchurch.
Willis originally received the 1500 metres bronze medal but was subsequently upgraded to silver following the disqualification of Rashid Ramzi for a doping violation.
