Former international Mark Gillespie is set to turn out for Wellington for the first time this summer when they play Otago in a national one-day cricket competition match at Alexandra on Sunday.
The fast bowler is among a squad of 13 named for the game, including allrounder James Franklin who missed out on the New Zealand playing 11 selected for the first test against India which started at Hamilton today.
Gillespie, who missed most of last summer due to a back injury, has been sidelined because of hip and thigh injuries this season.
