Group one AJC The Metropolitan winner Speed Gifted will be put back into work early next month after pulling up with sore feet after the Cox Plate (2040m) at Moonee Valley where he finished 12th to So You Think.

"He was quite sore after the Cox Plate but he's spelling.

His feet are good again now. He's had a bit of chiropractic work and he's a week or two away from being 100 per cent sound," trainer Lee Freedman said.

"Then he'll go back into work some time in early December just to see where we get to. But at this stage I'm looking at a light prep, third-up into The BMW or something like that."
