"Come rain, hail, or sun, in Botany the council can water all they like cause they can. While we can hardly afford the water for our own garden," says Mark.
Second harbour crossing gratis
"All this negative press about the Ports of Auckland expansion," tut tuts David. "Think of the benefits if the port just added another few extra metres to their current expansion plan. That would extend the wharf all the way to Devonport. This will create a beautiful inner-city lake. As an added benefit, if they painted a couple of road markings down one side of the extended wharf we get our much needed second harbour crossing thrown in for free."
Chance meeting must be record
"Six months ago my neighbour gave me a box of 250 1960s soul and R&B 45s which he found beside the recycling bin. I asked various DJs, musicians and collectors if they knew anyone who had lost their collection. I contacted the police. Nothing came back. The other night I was walking home from The Unthanks gig, with their vinyl in my hand and I got chatting to a guy who asked what record it was. He spoke about vinyl and told me how six months ago after walking home from DJing in a pub (drunk) he lost his lifelong collection - 250 records he'd spent thousands on over 30 years. I told him I had them at my flat. He cried. All because of a chance meeting at 4am ... (Aidan O'Rourke@obanfiddle)

Boys' trip photos
Craig writes: "My family recently found a GoPro camera on the side of a Northland road. It contains the videos and pictures of a boys' trip. Three young men having a great summer adventure. I'd like to get the camera and memories back to them." Anyone know the guys pictured (right)? Email Sideswipe.
