Does it feel like your business is as dry as a drought-ridden Northland paddock over summer?
What a pain – you're in your office worrying about paying the bills while everyone else is camping at Coopers Beach.
There is a misconception out there that Kiwi folk don't buy over January. But that's not true!
People might go camping up north, to the bach at Matapouri or down the line to see whanau.
But they take their phones - all is not lost.
Relaxation scrolling on social media is a real thing – and people enjoying shopping online.
What can you sell, solve and create for ideal clients during this time?
You have worked hard all year so don't put the brakes on now. Take some time before you load the chilly bin for the road trip south with these seven simple tips:
1Schedule some social media posts to run on your platforms over the holidays;
2Commit to writing one newsletter while you are away to help you bring a new vibe, perspective and realness to your database;
3Have some New Year specials ready to go. Everyone loves a bargain!
4You could whip up some funky bundles with stock that needs to go, or services that are automated;
5Choose a new platform like Instagram Stories and share behind the scenes of your life and biz. People buy from people!
6Create content. Summer days are great for those creative juices;
7Create a mind map. Lie in a hammock or in the shade with a cool drink and a notebook. Make a list of all the goals you want to accomplish next year, create some blog topics for six months (only need six) and get writing;
If you focus on making sure you are keeping up the momentum during the quieter times, then you are ready to hit the ground running in February, and not March.
