Gore's G-string policeman has copped a fine from his superiors.
The Police Commissioner's office today announced that the constable had been given a dressing down and fined $650 for his part in a skit for a television competition to celebrate World Nude Day.
Constable Paul Kennedy was filmed writing a ticket while wearing only his police hat, police belt, police boots and G-string underwear.
The fine included $400 for having a police car when off duty.
The remainder was for wearing only the G-string, a spokesman said.
The incident was taken quite seriously - usually the maximum fine for misconduct was $500, the spokesman said.
It is understood Mr Kennedy finished working in Gore at the weekend and was heading overseas for a holiday.
