Southland remained top of the ITM Cup standings with their fifth successive win on Friday to remain unbeaten in the competition.

The Stags held off a spirited Tasman side on Friday night and sit two points ahead of Wellington who won their third straight with victory over Northland.

Taranaki and Canterbury, who both had wins in week five, round out the top four while Otago sit at the bottom of the table with just one point.
