Club rugby sevens kicks off tomorrow in earnest in North Harbour at Glenfield Rugby Club's Kaipatiki Park.
This tournament will determine the champion sevens club sides in North Harbour club rugby for 2015 in men's open, men's U20, and women's grade. Games will kick off at 10am and go through to the last final at about 3.30pm. The draw can be found on the North Harbour website at www.harbourrugby.co.nz.
Sevens will continue through November in the North Harbour region with the long-running Glenfield Invitation Sevens on November 14, also at Kaipatiki Park, with 16 men's teams and a women's division.
The Auckland 7s will be hosted by the Northcote club at the Harvey Wright Fields on November 21-22 with men's, women's and a Presidents grade divisions.
There are club invitation sevens right around the northern region from Bay of Plenty, Counties Manukau, Waikato, Auckland and Northland through to February and the North Harbour clubs will be fully involved.
North Harbour will be entering men's and women's teams in the Northern Region Sevens in Cambridge on December 13 and are looking to qualify for the National Sevens in January 16-17 in Rotorua.
Both teams will build towards the regional and national tournaments by turning out at the Auckland 7s on November 21-22, the Waikato-hosted Provincial Invitation 7s in Cambridge on November 28 and the Bay of Plenty-hosted Provincial 7s in Mt Maunganui on January 9.
