In a tumultuous year of revolutions and economic chaos, it was still perhaps the defining image of 2011: Britain's prince William kissing his new bride, Catherine Middleton, on the balcony of Buckingham palace. A year has elapsed since then, but the popularity of the young couple, anointed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, has not waned.
