Rotorua will be without a mobile library service for a month following the recent decommission of the current bus due to mechanical and maintenance issues.
A statement from the Rotorua Lakes Council said the vehicle, which had been bringing books to residents throughout the district for about 20 years, was due for replacement and purchase of a new vehicle would be brought forward.
It's expected mobile services will be able to resume early July.
Known users of the mobile service are being contacted to inform them of the temporary service disruption.
Customers are also welcome to contact the library on 07 348 4177 if they wanted to discuss items they currently had issued to them.
