The Rotorua/Taupo senior reserve grade T20 cricket competition will be decided this afternoon during the grand final at Puarenga Park.
Geyser City Cricket Club and the Bay of Plenty Indians lead their pools heading into the third and final round of the T20 competition today.
The top two teams, in the eight-team competition, will qualify for the final following the third round.
The odds favour the Indians and Geyser 1 to meet in the big dance this afternoon.
They were the only clubs to win both their opening matches last weekend in Taupo.
However, a number of other sides still have an outside chance of making the grand final.
Rotorua Central are one of those teams. They face off against Taupo Wanderers at Puarenga Park in their third round match-up.
Central captain Sam Gordon said his team had a couple of younger players taking the field today, which gave them a good chance to perform.
He said T20 cricket can be really entertaining and it should be a good finals day.
"It is pretty exciting. It is a chance to free your arms when you are batting. It is a real batters game I reckon," he said.
Rotorua/Taupo senior reserve grade T20 draw today: Round 3: Geyser 1 v Taupo Old Boys, Taupo Combined Colleges v Eastern Pirates, Central v Taupo Wanderers, Geyser Fossils v Bay of Plenty Indians.
