We read that because of the present fuel crisis, the Government has told its public servants to scrap non-essential air travel.
Really? Should they ever fly around for little or no reason? Having a ball at the taxpayers' expense? What amazes me even more is that the Government seems to be aware of this. Shame.

Senior citizens 'forgotten'
Jacinda, you disappoint me! I was prepared to break the habit of a lifetime and vote for Labour, yet you do nothing for the senior citizens, we the backbone of the community, the teachers, the stability, the thinkers, the refuge for the broken dreams of the young - yet you offer us nothing, you give everything for the young.
We have given our all for the country; we have provided the warriors, the builders, the engineers and the explorers; we are the security for the future, we made the dreams come true and we have shown the way to millions yet you desert us.
I had dreams, Jacinda, I really thought that a light had been brought from under the bushel, now, alas, I shall have to put my vote where it has traditionally always been, I shall vote for our local, reliable MP and the party he stands for.

GMO policy
With science using more and more genetically modified technology to solve our health issues could a possible Labour, Green, NZ First coalition inform New Zealand what would be their policy towards GMO technology?
Rotorua has had GMO pine trees uprooted at Scion twice recently by activists.
It is also important that diabetics rely on GMO insulin. Also now leukaemia can be successfully cured by GMO in the bloodstream.
New Zealanders should be told in advance of the election whether these two treatments and others in the future will be available here.
