Rotorua woman Ana Morrison has been named in Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology's executive leadership team.
Her appointment as executive director for strategic partnerships and Maori success has been welcolmed by chief executive Dr Leon Fourie.
"Ana's key areas of expertise include people leadership, transformational change, stakeholder management and iwi engagement.
"Her appointment ensures we can take the next step in servicing the needs of our rohe, ensuring Toi Ohomai has meaningful and effective partnerships, allowing all of us to move forward together and bring economic prosperity and growth to our whole region."
Toi Ohomai said Ms Morrison was an experienced strategic leader who had held senior level management and governance roles throughout her career both nationally and internationally.
She has extensive community, iwi, corporate and international networks and brings a wealth of experience to the role in developing and executing strategy, policy and advocacy, and in partnerships with Maori, communities and iwi.
She was the first Maori woman and youngest chairwoman of a Te Arawa post-settlement commercial entity, Te Kotahitanga o Ngati Whakaue Assets Trust and holds a number of influential governance roles within the region
Ms Morrison will start her new role on August 7.
