A quiz night fundraiser with custom beer has been so popular that two more events are going to be held.
Croucher Brewing and the SPCA Rotorua have teamed up, with a custom beer being made as an SPCA fundraiser.
The beer is called Crouchers Hair of the Dog SPCAle. It was inspired by the New Zealand draught beer style and is made from mosaic hops.
It was launched and available on tap at a quiz night on Wednesday, held at Brew Bar, which sold out quickly.
SPCA Rotorua manager Sue Kinsella says they did not expect such a quick sell out.
"It's great to have so much interest in our fundraiser and awesome to have a new idea get so much support."
Sue says the upcoming events will have a different quiz master and different questions but are otherwise the same as this week's event.
It costs $40 for a table of four, which includes four samples of Hair of the Dog SPCAle, and there are prizes up for grabs, she says.
She says June 14 is almost sold out and June 28 has tickets now available, with 12 tables in total.
"Lots of people were disappointed when the first date sold out so quickly, so grab your ticket, get a team of four together and come on down.
"It's a great way to spend a winter's evening and all proceeds come back to the Rotorua SPCA shelter."
She gives thanks to the team at Crouchers Brewery, Brew Bar and the Hits for their support.
