If you are unsure of what to expect when you are expecting, Tummy & Tots is an unmissable expo giving you information you are likely to need.
A showcase of all things relating to pregnancy, babies and children under 5, the expo has up to 50 exhibitors with helpful information, products, and access to service providers.
Organiser Alia Ryan said pregnancy and child raising can be a confusing time, not because there was a lack of information, but because there was too much, especially on the internet, meaning the job of processing it was simply overwhelming.
"There is a surge of information on the internet, but we wanted to provide an interactive event where you can actually talk to service providers and people who make products.
"When you talk to someone, you get a chance to taste and feel the products that are out there, so you can see if they are right for your family."
Health and parenting advice services such as Plunket, Multiple Birth Support, and Rotorua Parent Centre are some of the services providing information for new parents.
"When I had my first daughter, I didn't have a huge amount of family to ask. It is not until you have your own family and your own mix of crazy that you need this information. Until then it is all just theories," said Miss Ryan.
Exhibitors include photographers, chiropractors, skincare, a sleep consultant, clothing, education options. See www.tummyandtots.co.nz.
