Emergency services were called to reports of a car crash between Rotorua and Tauranga this morning.
The crash happened on State Highway 36, Pyes Pa Rd, near Williams Rd about 7.30am.
A Fire Service communications spokesman said firefighters had been asked to help by ambulance staff and were still responding.
The crash blocked a lane of the bridge near Williams Rd.
A reporter at the scene said traffic was slow but flowing freely around the single car, which was to be towed from the scene.
A police communications spokeswoman said there were no serious injuries.
Some oil was leaked onto the road and contractors were called to help clean the scene before the road was reopened about an hour later.
