The "monster" event that is Supper Club is set to delight taste buds again next year - with many of the tables already sold out.
The hugely successful fundraiser for Ronald McDonald Family Retreats on the shores of Lake Rotorua at Ngongotaha will take place on March 8.
It will be the eighth time the event has been held.
Organiser Rob Parry said with about three-quarters of the tables already sold out, the event was shaping up to be another successful night.
Each year hotels, cafes, restaurants and attractions sponsor tables for dinner. Each person pays $100 a ticket and their table is drawn out of a hat to go to a sponsoring venue for dinner after a charity auction at the Novotel Rotorua.
Mr Parry said he expected about 38 or 40 restaurants to take part this year and 27 tables had already been booked.
"It is always over-subscribed. It just gets bigger and bigger. We have created a monster but really it's fantastic because it is for a good cause."
All the money raised goes towards the retreats, which cost about $60,000 a year to run.
Last year the event raised a whopping $100,000 - a record Mr Parry said was achieved because it was "one of those nights".
He said while they needed to raise enough for the operating costs - "the non-sexy stuff like rates and power" - any extra was "icing on the cake".
