The end of the Great War - World War I - will be remembered in Rotorua tomorrow with an Armistice Day commemoration in the Government Gardens.
The Rotorua RSA has invited the Rotorua community to join them in remembering the thousands of New Zealanders and millions of others from around the world who perished in the war that ran from July 28, 1914 to November 11, 1918.
Hostilities ceased on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month and to honour that moment in time people are being asked to assemble from 10.30am next to the Cenotaph in the Government Gardens where a short service will be held.
