Warning over stolen medication

Police have issued a warning after potentially dangerous medication was stolen from a Rotorua house.

Rotorua police are investigating the burglary of a house in Lisa Cres over the weekend.

A number of electrical items and prescription medication were taken during the burglary.

"There is a serious threat to the safety of any person taking or administering this medication in the incorrect way," police said in a statement.

Anyone with relevant information to this investigation is asked to contact Rotorua police on (07) 348 0099.

Alternatively information can be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
