A woman riding a scooter has suffered minor injuries after colliding with a car on the corner of Malfroy and Cheops St around 8.10am.

Constable Regan Framp of the Rotorua Police traffic unit said the incident happened when a car came out of Cheops St turning left.

The woman on the scooter suffered minor cuts and grazes and was taken to Rotorua Hospital by St John Ambulance.

The man in the car was not hurt.

Mr Framp said police would investigate the crash and a decision would be made later today whether charges would be laid or whether it would be dealt with an infringement notice.
