Rotorua creatives are invited to be part of a special art exhibition at The Arts Village next month.
The 200 Show is a visually stunning exhibition of works that are all 200 by 200mm.
Artists are encouraged to explore their medium within brief and the resulting exhibition showcases Rotorua's amazing local talent in a fun way.
Artists interested in submitting work to the 200 Show can pick up an entry form at www.artsvillage.org.nz or from The Arts Village at 1240 Hinemaru St. Completed entry forms and art works must be delivered to The Arts Village between 10am and 4pm on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th November to be included in the show.
The exhibition will open on Friday December 4 at 5pm and members of the public are invited to join artists and The Arts Village team for a drink and nibbles in the gallery with all works for sale on the night.
The 200 Show runs until December 18. The affordable art pricing gives Christmas shoppers a way to support local artists.
All works submitted to the exhibition must be priced at $200 or less and be no bigger than 200mm by 200mm (or 200mm by 200mm by 200mm for 3D works).
The 200 Show is funded by the Rotorua Energy Charitable Trust and was first held at The Arts Village in 2014 and was a huge success with a large number of sales for the Bay of Plenty artists exhibiting.
The inaugural show featured more than 120 works by both emerging and established artists working a mix of different art-forms including watercolour, acrylic, oil paint, sculpture and drawings.
