Two hundred people turned out for the Rotorua Hospital Chaplaincy Trust fashion fundraiser gala day ready to snap up a bargain.
Chapel administrator and fundraiser organiser Alison Lamberton said she was astounded by yesterday's event at the Holiday Inn.
"We have held trailer raffles in the past but this was our first event like this and it blew me away. It was just amazing. People got good quality clothing at cheap prices, and much more," she said.
The Rotorua Hospital Chaplaincy Trust is a non-profit organisation with 16 volunteers who have supported more than 25,000 patients since starting more than 20 years ago.
Mrs Lamberton said performers Brendan Dugan, Krissy Knap and Ellis Carrington were a big hit with the crowd.
Parrots on Hinemoa St was the main sponsor of the event which saw the auction of fine jewellery, beauty packages and furniture and local tourism vouchers.
"I need to thank all the organisations that helped out such as Parrots, Bunnings, Millennium Spa, Tonic Beauty, DTR, Super Fern, Bossy Bee, Footloose, Canopy Tours, Pure Bliss, Lakeland Queen, Bed Bath and Beyond, Black Stallion Photography, Holiday Inn, Central Pharmacy, Bayleys Real Estate, Villa Productions and all the others that helped. They were all amazing," she said.
"I'm not sure yet how much money we raised but I'm guessing it will be in excess of $10,000."
Mrs Lamberton said all proceeds from the event would go to the volunteers to help with training and their annual retreat.
