The Bay of Plenty women's golf team could not progress past the semifinal stage at the Toro New Zealand Women's Interprovincial in Hamilton.
The Bay team played North Harbour on Saturday in their semifinal match at the Riverside Golf Club, after qualifying from pool play during the week.
North Harbour proved too strong in the match-up beating the Bay of Plenty 3.5-1.5.
North Harbour then went on to lose the final to powerhouse side Auckland 3.5-1.5. Auckland claimed their 22nd title in winning the amateur tournament.
"It is actually the best feeling," Auckland's Siyi Keh said. "I was undefeated the whole week so it took my golf to a new level."
The Keh sisters - Siyi, Munchin and Wenyung - capped off a special week for Auckland as they were the first three sisters to play together at the event.
"It is a cool feeling to have us three sisters in the team. It is great to win with them and this is something we'll all remember for a long time."
