Time's running out to start creating a pink explosion ahead of Rotorua's Pink Walk.
The popular annual walk will take place on Wednesday, October 29, raising money for local people with breast cancer, as well as celebrating those who have, or are fighting, the disease.
Rotorua Breast Cancer Trust chairwoman Sue Winters said they wanted as many people as possible to register online this year, to make it easier for everyone on the day.
She said registrations so far had been steady.
The format of the walk will be much the same as previous ones following a 3.5km easily accessible flat route.
Mrs Winters said there would be plenty of spot prizes plus prizes for best dressed competitors and best decorated bra.
Mrs Winters said as well as celebrating women, one of the best parts of the walk was that all the money raised stayed locally with the Rotorua Breast Cancer Trust. Money was used in a variety of ways to help provide support while patients were going through treatment.
Festivities start from 5pm at the Village Green with food, drink and entertainment on site before the walk begins at 6pm. The walk is $5 for those over 12, with kids invited to give a koha. Register online at rotoruabreastcancertrust.co.nz. People can also register at ASB on the corner of Tutanekai and Pukuatua Sts or Aroha Mai Cancer Support Services in Haupapa St.
