The Latest Fallout are coming to town to share their chart-topping album with their fans.
The punk-pop band, who have been making a splash in the New Zealand music scene since the release of their self-titled album, will perform at the Rotorua Living Well Church on Saturday as part of a North Island tour.
The band is made up of Rotorua's Jared Stevenson, Hamilton's Brendan Pyper and Jeremy Badger and Te Kuiti's Dan Gordon.
Since the band formed two years ago, they've toured the North Island and have opened for the likes of Avalanche City, Ruby Frost, Titanium, Young Lyre, and Knights of the Dub Table.
Earlier this year they released their self-titled album, which went to number eight on the Kiwi music charts on iTunes.
They also made a music video for their hit song Better, which has had thousands of views on YouTube.
Stevenson was looking forward to performing in his home town.
"We're hoping everyone will get behind it and support us and have a really good time.
"We want to see everyone singing along, jumping up and down with lots of energy and lots of sweat."
Stevenson, the band's guitarist, said they were thrilled with the reaction their performances had been getting so far and were grateful for the support of their fans. He said the band's music, which he described as a fusion of punk, pop, rock with alternative influences, was something unique.
He hoped the band could continue touring the country and release another single off their album with an accompanying video.
A tour of Australia was also on the cards, he said.
"We'd love to give Australia a go and test the waters there."
• Their concert starts at 7pm. Tickets are $10 and can be bought from iticket or at the door.
