A man accused of killing Joe Collier in Opotiki last month can now be named.
Tamaikoha Ruameke Takao, 34, pleaded not guilty to murder when he appeared in the High Court at Tauranga this morning. His interim name suppression was lifted at today's appearance.
Takao has been remanded in custody until October 8 for a case review hearing.
Mr Collier, 22, was killed on July 13 in Opotiki after a large fight in the town.
